The Internet has changed the entire corporate communication and marketing process. As a company you are visible worldwide, you can find out who your potential customers are and how they interact with your services or products. This, obviously, should be an advantage if you know how to implement some of the tools accessible online.
Today, we want to show you some of the benefits of observing how users act once on your website. There are different platforms which can help you see how your company is doing online, what you are doing well, and what you need to do to improve things.
Google Analytics offers you a large amount of data about your website’s audience, how well your company is performing, and your e-commerce results, for example.
Google Analytics also shows the different way in which people get to your site, the content they check out and the various devices they used to get there. It also measures sales and goal conversions too(1).
So, all you need to do to set up a Google Analytics’ (GA) account is the following:
Create a Google account (Gmail account)
You will have to provide the website’s URL of the website you want to monitor
A Tracking ID will be provided for you to insert in your website’s html code (usually on the theme’s page and before the tag </body>)
Although this can all seem complicated, it is actually easy to configure and even easier to understand the data that you will have access to after setting up your account and installing your Tracking ID code.
